Who it fits
Good fit for
This system suits homeowners or small business owners who need to monitor a large perimeter. The eight cameras cover wide areas, and the 3TB drive stores weeks of footage without monthly fees. If you want color night vision for better identification in low light, this kit delivers. The dual antennas help maintain a stable connection over longer distances. You will appreciate the two-way talk feature if you need to communicate with visitors or deter intruders remotely. It is ideal for setups where running video cables is difficult, though you still need power outlets near each camera location.
Who should skip it
Look elsewhere if you need battery-powered cameras. This system requires each camera to be plugged into a power source, as the wireless term only refers to the WiFi connection. If you want a smaller setup, consider the 6-camera version of this same line. You should also skip this if you prefer cloud storage over local recording, as this unit relies on the included 3TB hard drive. Additionally, if your WiFi signal is weak in your outdoor areas, the dual antennas help, but you may still experience lag if the distance is too great. Ensure you have power outlets available for all eight camera positions before buying.
Verdict: This is a solid choice for large properties needing high-resolution coverage without monthly fees. The local storage and strong signal design make it practical for extensive outdoor surveillance.

Before You Buy This Kit
You should verify your WiFi strength before installing. The listing highlights dual antennas for stronger signals, but distance still matters. You cannot run these on batteries. Confirm your mobile app, HonestView, works with your phone’s operating system. You will need to manage the 3TB hard drive.
