Zeeporte Solar Camera Key Specs

Video Resolution: 2K FHD (2304 x 1296)

This resolution offers four times the detail of standard 1080p cameras. You will see clearer faces and license plates from a distance. The higher pixel count helps you identify specific features in recorded footage. This is useful if you need to verify identities or track small movements. Compare this to 1080p models when you prioritize sharpness over file size.

Pan And Tilt: 355° horizontal, 120° vertical

These ranges allow the lens to cover almost the entire area in front of the unit. You can view left, right, up, and down without moving the camera body. This reduces blind spots significantly compared to fixed lenses. It is ideal for covering driveways or yards. Check these angles against fixed cameras to ensure full coverage.

Power Source: Rechargeable battery, 2W solar panel

The solar panel keeps the battery charged for continuous operation. You do not need to plug the unit into an outlet. This allows installation in remote spots like gardens or sheds. The battery acts as a backup when sunlight is low. Compare this to wired cameras that require electrical access and complex installation.

Connectivity: 2.4G Wi-Fi

This camera only works with 2.4GHz networks, not 5GHz. Most routers broadcast both bands, but you must select the correct one during setup. 2.4GHz signals travel farther through walls but may be slower. Ensure your router supports this band. This limitation matters if your home only has 5GHz networks.

Weather Rating: IP65

This rating means the camera is protected against dust and low-pressure water jets. It can handle rain and snow without damage. You can place it outside without worrying about weather exposure. Compare this to lower ratings that might fail in heavy storms. It ensures durability for outdoor placement.

Design and Build Quality

The listing describes the Zeeporte Solar 2K Pan-Tilt Security Camera as having a form factor that resembles an Italian table lamp. It measures 4.85 inches in width, 5.9 inches in height, and 6.7 inches in length. The unit weighs 1.94 pounds. This compact footprint allows you to place it on shelves, windowsills, or mounted in corners without taking up much visual space. The black finish helps it blend into most exterior settings while still offering a decorative appeal.

According to the listing, the camera carries an IP65 waterproof rating. This specification means the housing is protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction. You can install this device in rain, snow, or dusty environments without immediate concern for internal damage. The wireless design eliminates the need for visible power cords, contributing to a cleaner aesthetic on your property walls or eaves.

The layout integrates a 2W solar panel directly with the rechargeable battery system. This combination ensures the unit remains powered without requiring a nearby electrical outlet. The physical controls are managed via the FONDAIL app rather than manual buttons on the body. This approach keeps the exterior smooth and weather-resistant. You adjust pan, tilt, and settings remotely, which maintains the sleek, lamp-like appearance while providing full operational control over the 355-degree horizontal and 120-degree vertical viewing angles.

Setup And Everyday Use Guide

You install this camera by mounting it in an indoor or outdoor location. The unit requires a stable 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection. It does not support 5GHz networks. You must connect it using the FONDAIL app on your mobile device. The solar panel and rechargeable battery provide power. You do not need to plug the camera into a wall outlet. This wire-free design allows placement anywhere with sunlight exposure. The IP65 rating ensures it withstands rain and snow during daily use. You adjust the view remotely through the app. The motor enables 355 degrees of horizontal and 120 degrees of vertical rotation. This covers a wide area without moving the physical unit. You receive instant notifications when the AI PIR sensor detects motion. The system distinguishes between people, vehicles, pets, and packages. You can speak to visitors through the built-in microphone and speaker. The smart siren and flashing LED light help deter unwanted guests. For recording, you can insert a microSD card up to 256GB. The system also offers seven-day rolling cloud storage. Note that continuous recording is not available. The camera only records events triggered by motion. You must keep the lens clean for optimal 2K video quality. The color night vision activates when ambient light is low. This setup ensures you monitor your property effectively without complex wiring.

Things To Check First

Before you buy, verify your Wi-Fi environment. This camera only connects to 2.4GHz networks. If your router is set to 5GHz only, it will not pair. You must also check sunlight exposure for the solar panel. Direct sunlight ensures the rechargeable battery stays charged during cloudy days. Without adequate sun, you may need to manually recharge it more often. The unit supports microSD cards up to 256GB for local storage. You should purchase a high-endurance card separately. It is not included. AI recognition features require a subscription. Basic motion alerts are free. Consider this model if you want wire-free installation with pan-and-tilt flexibility. It fits well in yards or driveways. It is less suitable for areas with poor Wi-Fi signal or limited sun. The IP65 rating handles rain and snow. Keep the lens clean for best 2K video quality.

Check before you buy

• Confirm your router supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connections.
• Ensure the mount location gets direct sunlight.
• Buy a high-endurance microSD card for local storage.
• Check if you need AI recognition subscriptions.
