Key specs explained
Video Resolution: 4K (3840 x 2160)
This camera records at 3840 by 2160 pixels. You get sharp images that reveal fine details like faces or license plates. Higher resolution helps you zoom in digitally without losing clarity. If you need to identify specific objects far away, this spec is essential. Compare it with 1080p models if you prioritize detail over storage space.
Pan And Tilt: 360° pan, 93° tilt
The lens rotates fully horizontally and tilts significantly vertically. You can cover a wide area without installing multiple cameras. The 360-degree pan ensures no blind spots on the horizontal plane. The 93-degree tilt allows you to look up or down effectively. This range is ideal for monitoring large yards or commercial lots efficiently.
Night Vision Type: White light color and IR
The device uses both infrared and white light for low-light visibility. Infrared provides black-and-white footage up to 270 feet. White light offers color video up to 135 feet. You can choose the mode based on your need for detail or discretion. This dual system ensures clear monitoring in various lighting conditions throughout the night.
Connectivity: PoE wired
Power over Ethernet sends both data and electricity through one cable. This setup reduces clutter and improves connection stability compared to wireless models. You do not need separate power adapters near the camera. PoE also meets safety standards for voltage transmission. Choose this if you want a reliable, low-maintenance installation for your surveillance system.
Design and build details
The SV3C 4K Outdoor PTZ PoE Camera features a metal enclosure. According to the listing, this material choice provides greater durability and resistance to damage. This is particularly useful for outdoor environments prone to rain. The unit carries an IP66 weather rating, which protects internal components from dust and powerful water jets. You can rely on this rating for consistent performance in harsh weather conditions without worrying about moisture ingress.
The physical dimensions are 9.45 inches in width, 6.3 inches in height, and 6.3 inches in length. This compact form factor allows for mounting in various outdoor locations. The white finish blends well with most building exteriors. The PTZ mechanism enables 360-degree horizontal rotation and 93-degree vertical tilt. This wide range of motion covers large areas efficiently. You do not need multiple cameras to monitor a broad space.
Controls are managed through software rather than physical buttons on the device. You access settings via the Camhipro app or HIP2P PC software. The camera supports PoE wiring, which simplifies installation by combining power and data in a single cable. This reduces clutter and improves reliability. The design prioritizes secure, long-term outdoor surveillance. You get a robust unit that handles environmental stress while maintaining clear video quality.
Setup and everyday use guide
Setting up this SV3C camera relies on Power over Ethernet, which simplifies installation by delivering both power and data through a single cable. The device adheres to IEEE standards for safety and voltage stability. You connect it to an NVR or software like Blue Iris, iSpy, or Edge, Safari, Chrome, and Firefox browsers. This broad compatibility means you avoid vendor lock-in and can integrate the unit into existing surveillance systems without extra adapters. The listing confirms support for RTSP, ensuring smooth streaming across different platforms.
In daily operation, the 360-degree pan and 93-degree tilt allow you to cover large outdoor areas. You can set up to 256 preset positions and two patrol groups. The camera uses 36x zoom to focus on specific points quickly. Intelligent motion detection distinguishes between humans, pets, and vehicles, reducing false alarms. Alerts send to your email, the Camhipro app, or an FTP server. Two-way audio lets you listen and speak remotely through the integrated microphone and speaker.
Storage options include a Micro-SD card up to 128GB, an NVR, or cloud storage. You can choose alarm-triggered or continuous 24/7 recording. Remote access works via P2P technology, allowing you to view footage from anywhere using the app or HIP2P PC software. The IP66 rating ensures the metal enclosure withstands rain and dust, maintaining reliable performance in various weather conditions.
Before You Buy This Camera
Before you buy this SV3C 4K Outdoor PTZ PoE Camera, verify your network infrastructure supports Power over Ethernet.
