Who it fits

Key specs explained for you

Video Resolution: 1080P

This camera records at 1080p, which equals 1080 vertical pixels of height. You get clear, sharp images that show faces and details without blurring. This resolution is standard for home surveillance. It is better than 720p but lower than 4K. Choose this if you want reliable clarity for monitoring pets or doors without needing excessive storage space for larger files.

Connectivity: 2.4GHz WiFi

The device connects only to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks, not 5GHz bands. This frequency travels farther through walls but offers slower speeds. It works well for video streaming in most homes. If your router combines both bands, ensure your phone is on the 2.4GHz network during setup. This is common for budget indoor cameras.

Power Source: Wired

The camera requires a constant power cable connection rather than batteries. You must plug it into an outlet or power adapter. This ensures continuous operation without recharging. It is ideal for fixed locations like entryways or living rooms. You avoid maintenance tasks like swapping batteries, making it a low-effort choice for steady surveillance.

Placement: Indoor

This unit is designed for interior use only. It lacks weatherproofing for rain or snow. You should install it in dry environments like kitchens, offices, or hallways. Do not place it outside or in humid areas. This restriction protects the electronics and extends the lifespan of the device. It is strictly for home interior monitoring.

Camera Count: 4 Pack

You receive four identical cameras in one purchase. This allows you to cover multiple rooms or angles simultaneously. You can monitor different areas like a living room and a nursery. The system supports sharing access with up to 20 people. This bundle is cost-effective for larger homes needing comprehensive coverage rather than a single point of view.

Design and build overview

The listing describes this unit as a white, space-efficient device. It measures 4.33 inches in width, height, and length. Each camera weighs 7.05 ounces. This compact form factor allows you to place the cameras in corners or on shelves without taking up much visual space. The cubic shape helps it blend into most indoor environments, from living rooms to offices.

According to the listing, the build is designed for wired power sources. This means you must have an electrical outlet nearby for each unit. The design prioritizes steady connectivity over battery flexibility. You will need to route cables, but this ensures the cameras stay powered and connected without needing frequent recharging. The white finish is standard for home electronics, keeping the look unobtrusive.

The system includes four cameras in this pack. This count allows you to cover multiple angles in a single home. The layout is simple, with no complex controls visible on the unit itself. You manage settings through the LaView app. This approach keeps the physical device clean and minimal. The design focuses on reliable indoor placement rather than rugged outdoor durability. You should install these in dry, sheltered areas only, as they are rated for indoor use.

Setup and Everyday Use Guide

Setup begins with connecting each camera to power via its wired source. You must ensure your router broadcasts a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi signal, as this unit does not support 5GHz networks. The LaView app allows you to add devices to your account. You can access live streams on mobile devices or through a web browser. The system supports up to nine simultaneous live feeds, allowing you to monitor multiple rooms at once. You can also share access with up to twenty other people, which is useful for family members or house sitters.

Daily use relies on smart motion detection. You receive instant alerts when movement is detected in the camera’s field of view. The two-way audio feature includes noise cancellation, enabling clear communication with family or pets. You can speak through the camera and listen to the room in real time. For recording, you have two options. You can use the included 30-day free trial of US cloud storage, which encrypts data on AWS servers. Alternatively, you can insert a microSD card of up to 128GB for local storage. The infrared night vision provides coverage up to 33 feet, ensuring you can see clearly in low-light conditions. This setup is designed for indoor spaces like living rooms, kitchens, or offices.

Before you buy this camera

You need a stable 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. This system does not support 5GHz connections. Check your router settings before installation. You must have a power outlet near each camera. The wired design requires consistent power. You should verify your LaView app compatibility with your mobile device. The app supports up to nine simultaneous live feeds. You can share access with twenty people. Consider your storage needs. You get thirty days of free cloud storage. You can also add a microSD card up to 128GB. This setup suits indoor spaces like living rooms or kitchens. It works well for monitoring pets. You need to place cameras where they have clear views. Night vision reaches thirty-three feet. Ensure your home security system integrates with Alexa if you use smart assistants. This four-pack offers comprehensive coverage for single-story homes.

Check before you buy

• Confirm your router broadcasts a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi signal.
• Check if your mobile device supports the LaView app.
• Ensure you have power outlets near each camera.
• Verify Alexa compatibility if you use smart assistants.
• Decide between cloud storage or local microSD recording.
