Resolution, Cameras, and Storage Compared
Video Resolution
The Hiseeu 8-Camera 12MP PoE Security System delivers significantly higher image clarity than the Hiseeu 16-Channel 5MP Wired System. The PoE model captures 12MP resolution, which equals 3840x2880 pixels. This provides six times the detail of standard 2MP cameras. The 16-channel wired system records at 5MP resolution. While 5MP is clear, the 12MP sensor on the PoE unit offers finer detail for identifying faces or license plates. You get sharper video with the 12MP system. The wired system prioritizes channel count over individual camera sharpness.
Camera Count
Coverage breadth differs between these two systems based on included hardware. The Hiseeu 16-Channel 5MP Wired System includes 16 cameras in the box. This allows you to monitor more zones simultaneously without buying extra units. The Hiseeu 8-Camera 12MP PoE Security System comes with only 8 cameras. However, its NVR supports 16 channels total. You can add eight more cameras by using an extra PoE switch. If you want immediate full coverage, the 16-camera wired kit is ready to go. The 8-camera system requires expansion for equal coverage.
Hard Drive Capacity
Storage duration depends on the pre-installed hard drives in each NVR. The Hiseeu 8-Camera 12MP PoE Security System includes a 4TB hard drive. This larger capacity helps store high-resolution 12MP footage for longer periods. The Hiseeu 16-Channel 5MP Wired System comes with a 3TB hard drive. Since 5MP files are smaller than 12MP files, the 3TB drive may last longer for that specific resolution. However, for raw capacity, the 4TB drive in the PoE system offers more space. You get more storage room with the 12MP system.
Connectivity Type
Installation complexity varies based on how the cameras connect to the recorder. The Hiseeu 16-Channel 5MP Wired System uses traditional wired connections. This often involves running separate power and video cables to each camera. The Hiseeu 8-Camera 12MP PoE Security System uses Power over Ethernet (PoE). PoE sends both power and data through a single network cable. This simplifies installation and reduces clutter. You only need to run one cable per camera. The PoE system is generally easier to set up for new installations.
Night Vision Mode
Low-light performance features differ between the two models. The Hiseeu 8-Camera 12MP PoE Security System offers three night vision modes. You can choose black-and-white, color night mode, or an alarm light mode. This flexibility helps you see details in color or maintain stealth. The Hiseeu 16-Channel 5MP Wired System mentions active deterrence with spotlights. It does not explicitly list a dedicated color night vision mode in its key specs. The PoE system provides more options for viewing in the dark.
Which Hiseeu System Fits Your Needs
You need maximum image detail for small areas
The 8-Camera 12MP PoE system offers 3840x2880 pixel resolution. This six times higher detail than 2MP cameras helps you identify faces or license plates clearly. The 121-degree wide-angle lens covers more ground per camera. You get color night vision and a 4TB hard drive for extended storage. This model suits spots where clarity matters most.
You want full property coverage with many cameras
The 16-Channel Wired System includes 16 cameras for comprehensive monitoring. You get no blind spots across large perimeters. The 5MP resolution provides clear video for general surveillance. It features active deterrence lights and one-way audio on up to eight channels. The 3TB hard drive supports continuous recording. This setup is ideal for wide-area protection.
You prefer simpler cabling with single cable power
The PoE model uses Power over Ethernet for easier installation. A single cable handles both power and data transmission. This reduces wiring complexity compared to traditional wired systems. You still get AI human and vehicle detection. The system works locally or via app. The 12MP resolution ensures high-quality footage without complex power setups.
