Looking Beyond the Aosu G12 Security Camera? 6 Alternatives Worth a Look

Comparing G12 Alternatives by Spec

Blink Outdoor 2K+ Floodlight Camera

The Blink Outdoor 2K+ Floodlight Camera offers a simpler, single-spot solution compared to the Aosu G12’s multi-camera system. It provides 2K resolution and a 700-lumen floodlight for targeted outdoor monitoring. Unlike the G12’s solar power, this unit relies on battery power, which may require more frequent maintenance. It lacks the extensive AI features and cross-camera tracking found in the G12. This camera suits you if you need easy wireless installation for one area rather than a comprehensive home security network. The compact size makes it easy to mount anywhere without complex wiring.

REOLINK 8-Channel 5MP PoE Camera System

The REOLINK 8-Channel 5MP PoE Camera System prioritizes wired reliability over the Aosu G12’s wireless flexibility. It features an 8-channel setup with a 2TB HDD for substantial local storage. Unlike the G12’s solar-powered cameras, this system uses Power over Ethernet, ensuring continuous power and stable connections. It lacks the solar charging capability and smart AI face recognition of the G12. This system is ideal for users who value consistent, hardwired surveillance without battery concerns. The 5MP resolution matches the G12, but the focus is on robust, always-on recording rather than flexible placement.

Cromorc 5MP 10CH Wireless System with 1TB HDD

The Cromorc 5MP 10CH Wireless System includes a built-in 10.1-inch monitor, offering local viewing without a separate device. It provides plug-in power for continuous operation, contrasting with the G12’s solar option. The system includes 1TB HDD storage and supports up to 10 channels, expanding beyond the G12’s connected camera count. It lacks the advanced aosuCortex AI features and cross-camera tracking. This setup suits users who want reliable wired power and immediate local access via the included monitor. It is a practical choice for those prioritizing straightforward monitoring and storage capacity over smart detection algorithms.

Hiseeu 5MP Wireless 4-Camera Security System

The Hiseeu 5MP Wireless 4-Camera Security System offers AI detection and 500GB HDD storage for local recording. It features color night vision and weatherproof designs for outdoor use. Unlike the G12’s solar power, this system uses wireless connectivity with plug-in base stations. It lacks the floodlight integration and cross-camera tracking capabilities of the G12. The 5MP resolution provides clear video, similar to the G12. This system is suitable for buyers who prioritize expandable storage and AI-driven motion alerts. It offers a robust alternative for those seeking reliable wireless surveillance with significant local storage capacity.

REOLINK 5MP 8-Channel PoE System with 2TB HDD

The REOLINK 5MP 8-Channel PoE System with 2TB HDD provides high-definition video and extensive local storage. It uses a wired PoE connection, ensuring stable power and data transmission unlike the G12’s wireless solar cameras. The 2TB HDD allows for longer retention of footage compared to the G12’s 32GB base storage. It lacks the smart AI features and solar charging of the G12. This system is best for homeowners who need reliable, continuous recording without battery maintenance. The 8-channel capacity supports more cameras, making it ideal for larger properties requiring comprehensive wired surveillance coverage.

Hiseeu 5MP Wireless 4-Camera System

The Hiseeu 5MP Wireless 4-Camera System offers expandable surveillance with color night vision and 500GB HDD storage. It uses wireless connectivity with plug-in components, differing from the G12’s solar-powered approach. The system supports remote access via an app, similar to the G12. It lacks the advanced AI face recognition and cross-camera tracking features. The 5MP resolution ensures clear video quality. This setup is suitable for users who need reliable 24/7 recording with color night vision. It provides a practical alternative for those prioritizing local storage and remote monitoring over solar convenience and smart detection algorithms.
