Who it fits

Key specs for this camera

Video Resolution: 4K 8MP (3840x2160)

This resolution provides 3840x2160 pixels, which is four times the detail of standard 1080p cameras. You will see clearer faces and license plates from a distance. The 1/2.7" CMOS sensor helps maintain sharpness even at 20fps. If you need to zoom in on digital footage without losing clarity, this high pixel count is essential for forensic-level review.

Viewing Angle: 108°

The fixed 2.8mm lens captures a wide 108° field of view. This wide angle allows a single camera to cover driveways, porches, or yards effectively. You do not need multiple units to monitor a broad outdoor space. When shopping, compare this to narrower lenses if you need to focus on a specific gate or entry point rather than a general area.

Night Vision Type: Warm light full-color, infrared

This camera uses dual light technology for night monitoring. Infrared LEDs provide black-and-white images up to 100ft in total darkness. Integrated warm lights enable full-color video in low-light conditions. You get the best of both worlds: detailed color when there is some ambient light, and reliable visibility in pitch-black environments without the red glow of traditional IR.

Connectivity: PoE, wired

Power over Ethernet allows you to connect the camera using a single cable for both data and power. This simplifies installation by removing the need for separate power adapters and outlets near the camera. It also ensures a stable, continuous connection. Compare this to Wi-Fi models if you want to avoid signal interference or battery replacement hassles in outdoor settings.

Weather Rating: IP66

The IP66 rating means the camera is dust-tight and protected against powerful water jets from any direction. This metal housing ensures reliable operation year-round in rain, snow, or dust. You can mount this unit outside without worrying about weather damage. When comparing outdoor cameras, look for this rating to ensure durability against harsh environmental conditions.

Design and Build Overview

The camera features a sturdy metal housing finished in black. According to the listing, this robust construction supports reliable outdoor operation year-round. It includes 4000V lightning protection to guard against electrical surges. The unit carries an IP66 waterproof rating, which means it resists dust and powerful water jets. This specification ensures the internal components remain safe during heavy rain or snow, making it suitable for exposed locations like driveways or porches.

Dimensions are listed as 4.5 inches wide, 4.7 inches tall, and 4.5 inches deep. The camera weighs 15.8 ounces. These measurements indicate a substantial physical presence that requires a solid mounting surface. The fixed 2.8mm lens is integrated into the front, providing a consistent 108° viewing angle. You cannot adjust the lens position, so you must aim it carefully during installation to cover your desired area.

The design prioritizes durability over compactness. The metal body adds weight but enhances stability against wind or vibration. The black finish helps the device blend into most exterior environments. Since the power adapter is not included, you will need to source a compatible PoE injector or switch separately. The layout is straightforward, with all essential connections housed within the weather-resistant casing. This approach simplifies maintenance and reduces the risk of connection points failing due to exposure.

Setup And Everyday Use Guide

This camera uses Power over Ethernet, so you connect it to a PoE switch or injector. The package does not include a power adapter. You must purchase one separately if your network does not support PoE directly. The listing notes that it works with Anpviz NVRs and other third-party Onvif PoE NVRs. You can also view footage on Synology NAS and QNAP systems. For desktop access, the camera supports web browsers like Edge, Firefox, and Chrome. It is compatible with software such as ISpy, Blue Iris, and Milestone. You can remote access the camera via a PC client or mobile app. The unit features AI human and vehicle detection. When the camera identifies these subjects, it sends timely push notifications to your device. You can adjust these settings through the app or client. Video compression uses H.265 and H.264 formats. H.265 allows you to store more data using fewer hard drives. This reduces file sizes while keeping video quality high. The camera records at 3840x2160 resolution. The 108-degree viewing angle covers wide areas like driveways. Night vision includes both infrared LEDs and warm lights. Infrared provides black-and-white images up to 100 feet. Warm lights enable full-color video in low light. Digital Wide Dynamic Range balances exposure in bright or dark spots. The metal housing and IP66 rating ensure it withstands outdoor weather. Lightning protection adds extra durability for year-round use.

Before You Buy This Camera

This Anpviz 4K camera is a solid choice for wide outdoor coverage. You need a PoE switch or injector to power it, as the package does not include an adapter. If your network lacks PoE, you must buy a separate power supply. The camera works with ONVIF NVRs and third-party software like Blue Iris. Check that your NVR supports ONVIF and H.265 compression for best results. H.265 reduces file sizes, saving storage space on your drive. The IP66 rating handles rain and dust well. Metal housing offers durability. Keep lenses clean for sharp 4K video. This model fits well if you want high resolution and smart detection. It suits users who prioritize clarity and AI alerts over wireless convenience. Compare it with other wired options if you need flexibility. Ensure your bandwidth supports 4K streams at 20fps. This camera delivers strong performance for driveways and yards when set up correctly.

Check before you buy

• Confirm your NVR supports ONVIF and H.265 compression.
• Verify your network switch provides PoE power.
• Check if you need a separate power adapter.
• Ensure your bandwidth handles 4K video streams.
