Key specs explained for you
Video Resolution: 3K (3072x1728)
This resolution provides higher detail than standard 1080p HD. You can zoom in on footage to identify faces or license plates more clearly. The 5MP sensor captures sharp images, which is useful for monitoring large areas like driveways or store fronts. When comparing cameras, choose this level if you need clarity over wide coverage without sacrificing too much bandwidth.
Connectivity: PoE Ethernet
Power over Ethernet sends both power and data through a single cable. This simplifies installation by removing the need for separate power adapters and outlets near the camera. You just plug it into your network switch or NVR. This setup is more reliable than Wi-Fi for continuous recording and reduces clutter in your surveillance wiring.
Weather Rating: IP67
This rating means the camera is dust-tight and can withstand powerful water jets from any direction. You can mount it outdoors in rain, snow, or dust without worrying about internal damage. It ensures reliable operation in harsh conditions. When shopping, look for this rating if you plan to place the camera in exposed outdoor locations.
Field of View: 123°
A 123-degree diagonal field of view offers a wide angle, capturing more of your scene in a single frame. This reduces blind spots around corners or entryways. You may need fewer cameras to cover the same area compared to narrow-lens models. This is ideal for monitoring driveways, patios, or small business entrances efficiently.
Night Vision Type: Full light color night vision
This feature allows the camera to capture color video in low-light conditions using its built-in lights. You get better identification of subjects, such as clothing colors or vehicle paint, compared to black-and-white infrared footage. It is useful for security alerts at dusk or dawn. Check if your model includes the required lighting for this mode.
Design and Build Quality
The camera uses a bullet form factor with dimensions of 8.5 inches in length, 4.7 inches in width, and 4.6 inches in height according to the listing. This elongated shape allows for discreet mounting on eaves or walls. The unit weighs nothing specific in the data, so you must check the box for exact mass. The housing is rated IP67, which means it is dust-tight and protected against powerful water jets. You can install it outdoors without worrying about rain or snow damage. The finish is not detailed, so you should expect a standard durable plastic or metal coat.
The layout is simple. There are no visible buttons or dials on the exterior. All controls are digital via the ANNKE Vision app or the connected NVR. This reduces weather seals that could fail over time. The single Ethernet port handles both power and data. You do not need a separate power adapter. This clean cabling keeps the installation tidy. The 2.8mm lens is fixed, so you cannot adjust the zoom optically. You must position the camera carefully during setup. The wide 123-degree field of view compensates for the fixed lens. You get broad coverage without moving the unit. The build feels solid for its class. It is designed for permanent outdoor use.
Setup and Everyday Use Guide
Installation relies on Power over Ethernet. You connect the camera to a network switch or compatible NVR using a single cable. This cable provides both power and data transmission. The listing notes that a separate power supply is not included. For best results, use an ANNKE NVR such as the N98PBK or N96PBH. You can also record to a microSD card with a maximum capacity of 512GB. The card is sold separately. You can also connect the camera to third-party NVRs, but you should check with customer support first to ensure compatibility.
Daily operation is managed through the free ANNKE Vision app on iOS and Android devices. You receive real-time push notifications when motion is detected. The camera features two-way audio, allowing you to speak to visitors remotely. When motion triggers, the unit activates red and blue alarm lights and a siren. This alerts people nearby and deters intruders. The camera records in full light color night vision. This feature helps capture clear footage even in low-light conditions. The IP67 waterproof rating means you can leave it outside in rain or snow without damage. You can monitor your garage, front door, or store from anywhere using your phone. The system is designed for straightforward, reliable everyday surveillance.
Before You Buy This Camera
You need to verify your recording setup first. This camera works best with ANNKE NVRs like the N98PBK or N96PBH models. If you plan to use a third-party NVR, you must check compatibility with support before purchasing. Storage is another key consideration. You can record to a microSD card up to 512GB, but that card is not included. Alternatively, you can connect it to an NVR for continuous 24/7 recording using H.265+ technology to save bandwidth. The unit is IP67 rated, so it handles rain and snow well. You should still ensure the mounting location protects the lens from direct debris. This PoE model simplifies wiring by using a single Ethernet cable. It fits well if you want clear 3K video without complex power runs. Compare it with other bullet cameras if you need wireless options or different lens angles.
Check before you buy
- Confirm compatibility with your existing ANNKE NVR model.
- Purchase a microSD card if you skip the NVR.
- Check third-party NVR support if using non-ANNKE gear.
- Ensure Ethernet cable reaches your chosen mounting spot.
