6 Best Alternatives to the Amcrest 4K Outdoor PoE Bullet (2026)

How each alternative compares

Amcrest 4K 8MP PoE Bullet AI Camera

The Amcrest 4K 8MP PoE AI Bullet Camera offers a slightly wider 129-degree viewing angle compared to the original’s 125 degrees. It adds AI detection for human identification, which the base model lacks. You gain color night vision capabilities, providing clearer footage in low light than the original’s IR-only system. The weight is 1.5 pounds. If you need smart alerts and better low-light performance, this is a strong upgrade. You give up nothing in resolution, as both are 8MP. It remains a fixed bullet camera with PoE connectivity. This option suits users who want enhanced analytics without changing their mounting style or power setup.

Real HD 8MP 4K PoE Bullet Camera

The Real HD 8MP 4K PoE Bullet Camera matches the original’s 8MP resolution and PoE connectivity. It includes color night vision, which the original does not. This camera is designed for compatibility with third-party NVRs, offering flexibility if you are not locked into the Amcrest ecosystem. The dimensions are 5 inches in width, height, and length, making it bulkier than the original. You gain broader device compatibility and color imaging. You may lose the specific Amcrest app integration and cloud services. This choice fits users who prioritize resolution and color night vision over brand-specific software features. It is a practical alternative for mixed-system setups.

SUNBA Outdoor 4K 20X PTZ Camera

The SUNBA 4K 8MP Outdoor PTZ Camera differs significantly by offering optical zoom and pan-tilt functionality, unlike the fixed lens of the original. It includes two-way audio, adding communication capability. The resolution remains 8MP, but the form factor is a PTZ unit rather than a bullet. It weighs 4 pounds and measures 9.02 inches in height. You gain the ability to zoom in on distant details and track movement across a wider area. You give up the simple, static coverage of the original. This option suits users monitoring large perimeters who need remote control over the camera angle. It requires VMS software for full feature access.

Amcrest 5MP PoE AI Bullet Camera

The Amcrest 5MP PoE AI Bullet Camera offers 5MP resolution, which is lower than the original’s 8MP. It includes AI human detection and color night vision, features the original lacks. The dimensions are 7.59 inches in length, 2.77 inches in width, and 2.61 inches in height. It weighs 1.68 pounds. You gain smart analytics and better low-light color imaging. You sacrifice some pixel density and sharpness compared to the 8MP original. This camera fits users who prioritize human detection and color night vision over maximum resolution. It maintains PoE connectivity and bullet form factor. It is a suitable mid-tier alternative for those needing AI features at a lower resolution.

ZOSI 8-Cam 5MP PoE System

The ZOSI 8-Cam 5MP PoE System is a complete kit with eight cameras and an 8-channel NVR, unlike the single camera original. It includes a 2TB HDD for local storage. The resolution is 5MP per camera, lower than the original’s 8MP. You gain extensive coverage for large properties and included storage. You give up the higher per-camera resolution and the standalone nature of the original. This system suits buyers needing multiple cameras and straightforward installation without recurring costs. It provides reliable local surveillance for outdoor use. The trade-off is lower individual image quality for broader system coverage and integrated recording capabilities.

ZOSI 1080p HD-TVI Bullet Camera

The ZOSI 1080p HD-TVI Bullet Camera uses analog connectivity instead of PoE, requiring a DVR. The resolution is 1080p, significantly lower than the original’s 8MP. It includes night vision and weatherproofing. The dimensions are 6 inches in length, 3 inches in width, and 3 inches in height. It weighs 9.6 ounces. You gain compatibility with older analog DVR systems and simpler wired installation. You sacrifice high resolution and modern PoE convenience. This option fits users upgrading from legacy systems who do not need 4K clarity. It is a budget-friendly analog alternative for basic outdoor monitoring where network configuration is not desired.
