Amcrest 4K Outdoor PoE AI Alternatives: 6 Similar Picks Compared

How each alternative compares

Amcrest 5MP PoE AI Bullet Camera

The Amcrest 5MP PoE AI Bullet Camera lowers resolution from 8MP to 5MP, reducing detail but lowering cost. It keeps the same bullet form factor, outdoor IP67 rating, and PoE connectivity. You get human detection and color night vision similar to the original. The trade-off is less clarity for identifying faces or license plates at distance. This model suits users who want smart AI alerts without needing full 4K precision. It is ideal for wider areas where object recognition matters more than fine detail. The black color offers a different aesthetic than the white original. You still rely on wired power, so installation requires running cables to a PoE switch. This pick balances cost and performance for budget-conscious setups.

Amcrest 4K Outdoor PoE Bullet Camera 2-Pack

This 2-Pack option gives you two cameras instead of one, doubling your coverage area. Both units maintain the 4K 8MP resolution and PoE connectivity of the original. You get dual-zone monitoring for the price of a single unit in other categories. The specs do not list individual weights, but the pack covers more ground. You lose the ability to place a single camera in a tight corner, as you now have two units to mount. This is best for securing two distinct entry points simultaneously. The AI detection works on both feeds, providing comprehensive perimeter protection. You need a PoE switch with enough ports to handle both cameras. This bundle is practical for users who need wider surveillance without buying separate boxes.

Amcrest 4K PoE AI Bullet Camera 2-Pack

The Amcrest 4K PoE AI Bullet Camera 2-Pack offers the same 4K resolution and AI features as the original but in a dual-camera bundle. You get two black cameras instead of one white unit. The weight of the pack is 3.02 pounds, indicating two heavy-duty metal housings. You gain double the coverage while keeping the same high-resolution video quality. The trade-off is the need for two mounting locations and two PoE ports. This setup is ideal for monitoring two separate zones, like a front door and a driveway. The AI detection remains precise for human and vehicle recognition on both feeds. You retain the color night vision and IP67 weatherproofing. This option suits users who want to expand their system with identical, reliable cameras.

Real HD 8MP 4K PoE Bullet Camera

The Real HD 8MP 4K PoE Bullet Camera matches the original resolution and connectivity but drops the AI detection features. You get 4K clarity and color night vision without human or vehicle filtering. The form factor is still a bullet style, suitable for outdoor placement. The model lacks the specific AI algorithms found in the Amcrest original. This makes it better for users who prioritize raw image quality over smart alerts. It is compatible with third-party NVRs, offering flexibility if you do not want to stay in the Amcrest ecosystem. The white color is similar to the original. You still need PoE for power. This pick is for those who want high-definition video without the cost or complexity of AI processing.

Real HD 4K 8MP Color Night Vision Turret Camera

The Real HD 4K 8MP Color Night Vision Turret Camera changes the form factor from bullet to turret. It keeps the 4K resolution and PoE connectivity. The white color matches the original aesthetic. However, it is not compatible with Amcrest or Reolink systems, limiting your recorder options to Hikvision NVRs. You lose the Amcrest app integration and specific AI detection features. This camera suits users who already have a Hikvision system and need a turret-style lens. The color night vision is a strong feature for low-light conditions. You give up the wide-angle bullet view and AI filtering. This is a niche pick for specific ecosystem users who need a different mounting style.

Anpviz 8MP Dual-Light Bullet Camera

The Anpviz 8MP Dual-Light Bullet Camera offers 4K resolution and PoE connectivity similar to the original. It features color night vision and smart detection, though the specific AI types are not detailed in the data. The white color matches the original. You get a bullet form factor for outdoor use. The trade-off is the lack of confirmed human and vehicle detection filters. This model is best for users who want high clarity and color night vision without brand-specific ecosystem lock-in. You still need a PoE switch for power. The specs do not confirm AI event filtering, so you may get more false alerts. This pick suits those prioritizing image quality and dual-light night vision over advanced AI recognition.
